Alistair Macdonald - Curriculum and Behaviour (SLE)
Castle Hill School
My name is Alistair Macdonald and I am a Deputy Head at Castle Hill Special School in Huddersfield. I lead the secondary department as well as having whole school responsibility for curriculum, science and research and development. Amongst all this, I still teach a class two days a week. Prior to Castle Hill, I have led and taught for many years in primary schools.
I have been fortunate enough to work alongside and to support a wide range of school leaders and practitioners. I really enjoy working collaboratively and working creatively to build success.
I have been an SLE since 2012, initially working at another teaching school and have worked in a transition project, as well as in-school leadership support in schools across the region.
